A CD Release With A Tour
- Decide with the label/artist if the release should be:
- Local (just one or two cities )
- Regional (statewide or a few select states)
- National (The USA - coast to coast)
- International (If the band has made an impact overseas)
- Design and plan a comprehensive campaign, make a media target list.
- Mail press kits and CD's to all applicable media.
- Call each writer we sent CD's to and encourage them to listen to, and review the material.
- Publicize each gig as a CD release party in all tour markets to get the interest of local press.
- Encourage press to write show reviews.
- Provide a comprehensive report of results and send the articles that ran to the band.
