A CD Release With A Tour

  1. Decide with the label/artist if the release should be:
    • Local (just one or two cities )
    • Regional (statewide or a few select states)
    • National (The USA - coast to coast)
    • International (If the band has made an impact overseas)
  2. Design and plan a comprehensive campaign, make a media target list.
  3. Mail press kits and CD's to all applicable media.
  4. Call each writer we sent CD's to and encourage them to listen to, and review the material.
  5. Publicize each gig as a CD release party in all tour markets to get the interest of local press.
  6. Encourage press to write show reviews.
  7. Provide a comprehensive report of results and send the articles that ran to the band.
