A CD Release/Press Campaign Without A Tour

  1. Find an angle to work with :
    • Is this a new CD release campaign or are we just trying to get a "buzz" going?
    • Where are the members of the band originally from? - local focus
    • Where does the band live currently? - regional focus
    • Where did they perform most recently?
    • Is there an unusual story behind this band? - What is it?
  2. Mail press kits and CD's to all applicable press.
  3. Set up phone interviews with the band.
  4. Call each writer we sent CD's to and encourage them to listen to, and review the material.
  5. Provide a comprehensive report of results and send the articles that ran to the band.
